While none of our hunts are guaranteed, our mountain lion hunters are
usually always successful. We have an excellent population of lions in
Arizona.With Nathan Ellison in Southern Arizona you will have an
outstanding hunt for lions. His hounds are professionals at treeing
Mountain Lions. Our goal is to take a mature tom, but we do occasionally
tree a good female. On the Southern Arizona hunt with Nathan expect to
ride hard on this hunt, as you ride through some of Arizona's most
rugged and beautiful Lion country. This hunt is on dry ground. Fee's
range from $3,000 to $4,000. This is a 7 day hunt and tags are available over
the counter with the season on lion year 'round. We prefer to hunt late
fall through April when their pelts are at prime. I have known Nathan
for a long time and I'm pleased to send lion hunts his way, he has run
his own outfitting business for over 50 years and I consider him to be
the best lion guide in the state. |

Arizona is ranked 5th in the nation
for large black bears. Our hunts for Fall Black Bears in in the Tonto National Forest and the Sierra Ancha Wilderness. On this hunt you will get to see some of the most rugged and beautiful country Arizona has to offer. You will also get to see some Ancient Indian Ruins. We like to call this hunt "Bears in the Pears" as they feed on the fruit of the Prickly Pear cactus in the high desert. This can be alot of fun since you will have a chance to see many bears at once. This hunt occurs in early September when the prickly pear cactus is producing it's fruit, and the bears love it. There is nothing quite like hunting "Bears in the Pears". Usually we are booked on this hunt 6 months in advance as tags are over the counter and its a very popular hunt, check with us though as sometimes we have cancellations.
